Hazards and Protection.
Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Keep containers tightly closed. Keep in original container. Flammable liquid storage.
Use protective gloves. Wear splash-proof eye goggles to prevent any possibility of eye contact. Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of liquid contact and repeated or prolonged vapor contact.
Stop leak if possible without risk. Extinguish all ignition sources. Avoid sparks, flames, heat and smoking. Ventilate. Do not contaminate water sources or sewer. Wear necessary protective equipment. Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Wash area with soap and water.
Stable at normal temperatures and pressures.
Strong oxidizing agents.
Extinguishing media: Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry chemicals. Avoid breathing fire vapors. Cool containers exposed to flames with water until well after the fire is out. Keep run-off water out of sewers and water sources. Dike for water control.
Harmful if swallowed May cause stomach pain or vomiting.
Harmful by inhalation May cause irritation to the respiratory system.
Harmful in contact with skin Defats the skin.
Harmful to the eyes Irritating to eyes.
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Remove victim immediately from source of exposure. Provide rest, warmth and fresh air. Get medical attention.
Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Perform artificial respiration if breathing has stopped. Seek medical attention.
Remove affected person from source of contamination. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
