Hazards and Protection.
Storage
Keep tightly closed. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame. Handle and store under argon.
Protection
Compatible chemical-resistant gloves. Chemical safety goggles. Hand: Faceshield (8-inch minimum).
Respirators
Government approved respirator.
Small spills/leaks
Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete. Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal.
Stability
Stable at normal temperatures and pressures.
Incompatibilities
Strong oxidizing agents.
Decomposition
Ammonia, Nitrogen oxides.

Fire.
Fire fighting
Extinguish using Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, or appropriate foam. Unsuitable: Do not use water. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Fire potential
Produce flammable gases on contact with water.
Hazards
Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions. Flammable solid.
Combustion products
Fire will produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.

Health.
Exposure effects
Corrosive. Contact with water liberates toxic gas. Causes burns. Target organ(s): Lungs.
   Ingestion
May be harmful if swallowed.
   Inhalation
Material is extremely destructive to the tissue of the mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract. May be harmful if inhaled.
   Skin
Causes burns. May be harmful if absorbed through the skin.
   Eyes
Causes burns.

First aid

   Ingestion
If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Call a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
   Inhalation
If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
   Skin
In case of skin contact, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician.
   Eyes
In case of contact with eyes, flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers. Call a physician.
