Keep in a cool, dry, dark location in a tightly sealed container or cylinder. Keep away from incompatible materials, ignition sources and untrained individuals. Secure and label area. Protect containers/cylinders from physical damage.
All chemicals should be considered hazardous. Avoid direct physical contact. Use appropriate, approved safety equipment. Untrained individuals should not handle this chemical or its container. Handling should occur in a chemical fume hood.
Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing and goggles.
Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Use fully encapsulating, vapor protective clothing should be worn for spills and leaks with no fire. ELIMINATE all ignition sources and prevent contact unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Stop leak if you can do it without risk. Cover with water, sand or earth. Shovel into metal container and keep material under water.
Small Fires: Water spray, wet sand or wet earth. Large Fires: Water spray or fog.
Extremely flammable; will ignite itself if exposed to air.
May re-ignite after fire is extinguished. Fire hazare if allowed to dry.
Burns rapidly, releasing dense, white, irritating fumes.
Inhalation or ingestion of decomposition products may cause severe injury or death.

Treat ingestions of greater than 40 milligrams per kilogram with decontamination of the stomach if within 4 hours of ingestion. Administer charcoal as a slurry.
Move victim to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult.
Keep exposed skin areas immersed in water or covered with wet bandages until medical attention is received. Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes at the site and place in metal container filled with water.
If symptoms develop, immediately move individual away from exposure and into fresh air. Flush eyes gently with water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids apart; seek immediate medical attention.
