Properties.

Hazards and Protection.
Protection
Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing and goggles.
Respirators
Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
Small spills/leaks
ELIMINATE ignition sources and prevent all contact with the material. Stop leak if you can do it without risk. Take up with inert, damp, noncombustible material using clean non-sparking tools and place into loosely covered plastic containers for later disposal. Contact specialist for clean-up or disposal instructions.

Fire.
Fire fighting
The temperature of the substance must be maintained at or below the Control Temperature at all times. Small Fires: Dry chemical, carbon dioxide, water spray or regular foam. Large Fires: Flood fire area with water from a distance.
Fire potential
Self-decomposition or self-ignition may be triggered by heat, chemical reaction, friction or impact. Self-accelerating decomposition may occur if the specific control temperature is not maintained.
Hazards
These materials are particularly sensitive to temperature rises. Above a given Control Temperature they decompose violently and catch fire. May be ignited by heat, sparks or flames. May burn violently. Decomposition may be self-accelerating and produce large amounts of gases. Vapors or dust may form explosive mixtures with air.
Combustion products
May produce irritating, toxic and/or corrosive gases.

Health.
Exposure effects
   Inhalation
Inhalation or contact with vapors, substance, or decomposition products may cause severe injury or death.
   Skin
See Inhalation.
   Eyes
See Inhalation.

First aid

   Ingestion
Seek medical assistance.
   Inhalation
Move victim to fresh air. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult.
   Skin
Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Remove material from skin immediately. Immediately flush with running water for at least 20 minutes.
   Eyes
Immediately flush with running water for at least 20 minutes.
