Storage
Protect containers from damage. Do not allow temperatures to exceed 51 C. Store away from flammable materials.

Trimethylindium is thermally unstable above 140 C – DO NOT HEAT ABOVE 80 C.

Always use dry powder, soda ash or lime to extinguish. Never use water, foam or halogenated compounds. Wear fire resistant clothing, SCBA, face shield, safety goggles, safety shoes and fire resistant gloves.
Hazards
In a controlled fire, any unreacted material may reignite upon contact with air or water.

First aid
 
   Inhalation
Move exposed person to an uncontaminated area. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, apply artificial respiration. Medical assistance should be sought immediately. Keep victim warm and quiet.
   Skin
Immediately flush affected area with large quantities of water. Remove affected clothing as rapidly as possible only if it is not stuck to the skin.
   Eyes
Flush contaminated eyes with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids open to ensure complete flushing.
